Asbestos and Environmental Abatement Staffing

Certified Crews, Typically in 48 to 72 Hours

Cruitfly is a nationwide staffing agency that supplies certified asbestos, lead and mold abatement workers to general contractors, subcontractors and specialty abatement contractors. Every worker is a W2 Cruitfly employee covered by Cruitfly's workers' compensation, with training certificates, physicals and fit tests on file. Typical fill time is 48 to 72 hours.

Who does Cruitfly send to an abatement project?

Cruitfly is a proud member of Environmental Information Association (EIA)Cruitfly Staffing provides certified, experienced crews for asbestos, mold and lead abatement projects nationwide, and Cruitfly is a member of the Environmental Information Association (EIA).

  • Asbestos abatement workers. For Class I removal, and Class II removal inside critical barriers or negative pressure enclosures, OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1101 requires training equivalent to the EPA Model Accreditation Plan worker course: at least four days, 14 hours of it hands-on. Our crews have removed asbestos from flooring, drywall, roofing, paneling and concrete, including glovebag work.
  • State-licensed and accredited workers. Indiana requires a valid IDEM license for asbestos workers, and North Carolina accredits workers and supervisors through its Health Hazards Control Unit. We match each placement to the license your state and facility require.
  • Lead abatement workers. Lead-based paint abatement in target housing and child-occupied facilities requires individual certification under 40 CFR 745.226, and lead exposure on construction sites falls under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.62.
  • Mold abatement crews, staffed to your project specification.

Every worker also carries:

  • A current fit test, required before first respirator use and at least annually under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134.
  • A physical on file. OSHA requires medical surveillance for anyone doing Class I, II or III asbestos work on 30 or more days a year.
  • OSHA 10 as a minimum, plus training through Cruitfly's training program, SafeCru Academy, or another accredited provider.
  • Background checks and drug screening through DISA and CCS programs.

  5. Crew on site. You direct the work. Cruitfly carries payroll, workers' compensation and weekly certified payroll.
  6. Replace or keep. A replacement is typically on site within 12 to 24 hours. Workers can convert at around 480 regular hours, and direct hire carries a 90-day guarantee.

What does abatement staffing cost, and what drives the price?

Abatement staffing is priced as an hourly bill rate per worker, quoted per project. The biggest drivers on abatement work:

  • Workers' compensation classification. Abatement carries substantially higher comp rates than general construction.
  • Certification level. Accreditation, medical surveillance and training are real costs carried before the worker reaches your site.
  • Prevailing wage. On Davis-Bacon covered federal contracts over $2,000, the wage determination sets the floor.
  • Travel, per diem, lodging and speed. A crew in 48 hours costs more than the same crew in three weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Look for an agency that employs its workers on W2 and carries their workers' compensation, verifies state licenses before placement, and shares fit tests, physicals and training certificates before the crew mobilizes. Ask whether it produces certified payroll for prevailing wage work. Cruitfly does all of this as standard.

Start with the license or accreditation your state requires, then confirm each worker's annual refresher is current, the fit test is less than a year old and a physical is on file. State agencies such as IDEM in Indiana publish lookup tools. Or request a crew from Cruitfly, and we verify those records and share them with you before mobilization.

Yes. Cruitfly supplies certified, experienced crews for asbestos, lead and mold abatement projects nationwide. Tell us the scope and the certifications your specification calls for, and we staff to it. Lead-based paint abatement in target housing and child-occupied facilities requires individual EPA or state certification, so we confirm that before placing anyone on that work.

Typical fill time is 48 to 72 hours, depending on the job site requirements and when the order reaches us. A replacement is typically on site within 12 to 24 hours. A highly specialized certification or a hard-to-source location can take longer, and we give you the real timeline.

Cruitfly does. Every worker Cruitfly places is a W2 Cruitfly employee, covered by Cruitfly's workers' compensation in every state it operates in. Cruitfly's current EMR is .75. We also issue a certificate of insurance on request, naming your company as additional insured where the project requires it.

Yes. Cruitfly staffs a county judicial center where every worker clears E-Verify, EPA region-specific asbestos certification, a physical and a facility acknowledgment form, and filled eight positions at a military installation where every worker had to be a US citizen with a clean background check. Tell us your badging requirements up front so we recruit against them.
