Compliance on Your Jobsite: How Cruitfly Staffs

When you bring in outside labor, the compliance exposure does not leave your project. Here is exactly how Cruitfly handles it.

When you bring in outside labor, the compliance exposure does not leave your project. It just gets shared. Here is exactly how Cruitfly handles it, so you know what you are taking on before the crew arrives.

Workers are Cruitfly employees

Every worker Cruitfly places is a W2 Cruitfly employee, without exception. Cruitfly carries the employment relationship, which means payroll taxes, unemployment insurance and workers' compensation coverage sit with Cruitfly rather than with your project.

We carry workers' compensation on every worker we place, in every state we operate in. If a worker is injured on your site, they are covered under Cruitfly's policy.

We provide a certificate of insurance on request, and can issue it naming your company as additional insured where a project requires it.

Certified payroll, produced weekly

On prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon projects, certified payroll reporting is not optional and it is not something you want to discover a gap in three weeks into a job.

Cruitfly's payroll team is trained on certified payroll and produces reports for clients on a weekly basis, using payroll software built for it.

Cruitfly reports certified payroll on federal Davis-Bacon work and on state prevailing wage programs as required by the project.

Certification records, shared on request

For abatement, remediation, and other certified trades, you need the paperwork on file before the worker sets foot on site.

Cruitfly maintains and shares worker documentation including training certificates, physicals, fit tests, and other project-required records. Documents are shared through software rather than assembled by hand, so the turnaround is fast enough to matter when a crew is mobilising.

What this means for the questions you are actually asking

"Who covers workers' comp if someone gets hurt on my site?"
Cruitfly does, for every worker Cruitfly places, in every state we operate in.

"Are your workers actually certified, or do I need to check that myself?"
Cruitfly verifies certifications and shares the records with you. You can check them, and you should, but you are checking a file that already exists rather than chasing one.

"Can you produce certified payroll for a prevailing wage job?"
Yes, weekly, as standard.

"What happens if a worker does not show up or is not a fit?"
We replace them, typically with someone on site within 12 to 24 hours. Where the role requires a highly specialised certification, or the site is in a hard-to-source location, it can take longer. We would rather give you the real timeline than promise a number we cannot hit.

Ask us for the paperwork before you need it

Most contractors ask for a certificate of insurance and a sample certified payroll report during vetting rather than mid-project. Contact us to get started.
